30 days of the everyday – Day 29…
We call this the “shaving sink”. It’s not really a bathroom & not really a powder room.
I have named the quirky little spaces in our house. We have a “utilities cupboard” which is a disused shower & a “service porch” which is the little 1m square area outside the kitchen door. It makes the ranch sound pretty grand doesn’t it? I can assure you it’s just a 1960 cream brick.
And another thing… the photo on the wall isn’t me. I can only dream.

I wish you’d mentioned the larkspur, the chute, the under-the-house (with its unique smell), Jurassic park (which is now extinct I believe), the faraway tree (where fairies really DO leave little presents for BIG sisters only) So many mystical, magical places in the one house! xx

very funny. we call the room with most of the books in it “the library” and the living room our “summer house” because it’s so big and has no clock or tv in it.

In our last house, a linen closet had been converted into a 2nd loo.
Fine if you’re 5’2″ or a child, but impossible to close the door on if you’re taller/ a bloke … as your knees prevented the door from closing.
I loved showing it to people

Oh, and, after reading Sosser’s comment, we also have ‘the train room’ and ‘the cats room’.
The former is simply the front sitting room, but the trainset is also kept there, and the 2nd is actually our utility/ironing/dressing/my makeup room. It just also happens to have the cat litter and feeding bowls in there also.
