The perfect bag…
for a friend.
We caught up for coffee last week & spent a lazy hour discussing The Sartorialist & the merits of the perfect handbag.
For me..
worn across the body, single strap, slouchy, soft
For her…
sacky, bright, wide straps, big enough to fit lunch, gusseted
It was her birthday yesterday so I made “the perfect bag” for her.
It’s fully lined & made from thrifted everything.
As I finished it all I could think of was the iconic Country Road bag. This baby is “vintage” circa 1989. My sack bag has a similar capacity but with perhaps a nicer shape…

Oooooooooh… I like that, I like that a lot! I love that it fits as much at that country road tote but really does look so much nicer & deceptively smaller – like Mary Poppins' bag!

What an ace bag your friends going to love it! I don't think I've ever read the words 'big enough to fit your lunch in' and 'gusseted' together before! made me laugh, it's a fabulous bag:)

Great bag, definately a perfect bag. However you seem to have omitted the fact that us gals need several 'perfect' bags, different styles, fabrics, sizes etc to suit the many different occassions we have for bags. Or is that just me? Love the big bold print. And the buttons.
