My creative space...

My Creative Space Petals

Mucking around with Aunty Cookie scraps & a bit of petal folding for some fabric flora.

In other plant related news I am going out to the wholesale nursery with my bossy mate today to buy "splash of colour" plants for the house.

You can visit my favourite space from last week right here.

Don't forget to pop in & add your link if you're playing along this week.

Oooh I can't wait to see how they turn out - they look like little bunny ears!

Plants for the house are awesome. I just stuck a pot plant in a pretty on top of my fridge (instead of the broken magnets and old bills that used to be there), and now I feel like I'm living in some fancy house out of Real Living or some such.

fabric flora sounds great.

This is my first time joining the fun and I hope to get to know more people through this space.

I will be making my hands dirty by producing more lino print today since my computer is having a huge fan noise (still waiting for a mate to come over and fix it for me)..

I hope everyone will be enjoying their Thursday! :)

I have to agree with Penny! Pot plants around the house does make the whole house feel cosy. We have heaps of them. I especially like the Ponytail. :)

Creating plants and buying plants, what a great day. Our plants are all a bit neglected at the moment, but I do love it when everything is fresh and thriving.

Your creative space snippets are always rather curious... and pretty damn ace.

Can't wait to see what you're up to, all competed & skillfully photographed...

I've never had a houseplant... 'cept for a cactus with googly eyes & a hat. I dropped it. It died.

Ooh, i've been dying to try them. Is it kanzashi or something like that? They'll look great. Good luck with the plant thing, i kill 'em!

I love how folding a printed bit of fabric can change the whole look of the print. Have fun splashing your colour about.

Intriguing! At least the fabric version of gardening can be whatever you wish it to be rather than being told what to do by the bossy mate :)

That looks like fun! Fabric folding is something that I've been rather interested in since reading about it a few months ago. My devious plan is to get my sister intrigued by it - she used to do origami A LOT as a kid, but has given up on most crafting for now. Maybe this might be the hook to get her interested again...?

Fun flowers!! Gosh, i always think, this time i'll be in the first 50 to link, alas, no, too slow. You're too popular Kootoyoo. Love Posie

Mel said...

More with the splash of colour? Are you going to embellish the leaves with a bit of stitching? Go on ... you know you wanna ;)

One Flew Over said...

The petals would even make sweet little bunny ears?!?!

Hmmm not sure why that came to mind, it may have something to do with every retailer stocking easter eggs since JANUARY!

Cherie said...

Oooo I can see something blooming or jumping very soon. Hope we get a glimpse ;) Thanks for making Thursdays fun Kirsty ... see you next week ;)

You like to tempt us into guessing what you will make. I love flowering indoor plants as well as the green ones. I have been successful at getting reblooming but my Mum looks at them as longer lasting flower arrangements.

Well, this is the coolest site e-ver!
I'm playing this game!

I always have a "chair project" and during the bachelor/ette season, it's always a sweater. I usually get to watch it, which is why I watch it, with my daughter and her sorority sisters. When they are at school, obviously it's via text messages: "omg he gave THAT GIRL a rose!" but this season the girls are all studying abroad. I'm watching it anyway and I hate Vienna, but I've added a link above to the Jake sweater...
