Mucking around with Aunty Cookie scraps & a bit of petal folding for some fabric flora.
In other plant related news I am going out to the wholesale nursery with my bossy mate today to buy "splash of colour" plants for the house.
You can visit my favourite space from last week right here.
Don't forget to pop in & add your link if you're playing along this week.

Oooh I can't wait to see how they turn out - they look like little bunny ears!
Plants for the house are awesome. I just stuck a pot plant in a pretty on top of my fridge (instead of the broken magnets and old bills that used to be there), and now I feel like I'm living in some fancy house out of Real Living or some such.
Your photo's always look so fab and interesting, can't wait to see the flowers you create!
fabric flora sounds great.
This is my first time joining the fun and I hope to get to know more people through this space.
I will be making my hands dirty by producing more lino print today since my computer is having a huge fan noise (still waiting for a mate to come over and fix it for me)..
I hope everyone will be enjoying their Thursday! :)
I have to agree with Penny! Pot plants around the house does make the whole house feel cosy. We have heaps of them. I especially like the Ponytail. :)
Oh darn it, I can't see your picture again. What is going on?!@ Wish I was not such a tech dolt, I'd be able to figure it out. Oh well.
I like the start of those flowers - good idea. Happy splashing!
Oh glorious scraps of fabric... xo Steph
Creating plants and buying plants, what a great day. Our plants are all a bit neglected at the moment, but I do love it when everything is fresh and thriving.
Lovely looking Petals!
Brilliant! They are going to be gorgeous!
your simople photo makes even fabric scrap and pin look lovely
Super excited for you, I love trips to the nursery!
plants, fabric and floral varieties, go a long way in brightening up a home. can't wait to see the results!
Lovely flora in the makin there. Good luck with your plant shopping!
Your creative space snippets are always rather curious... and pretty damn ace.
Can't wait to see what you're up to, all competed & skillfully photographed...
I've never had a houseplant... 'cept for a cactus with googly eyes & a hat. I dropped it. It died.
Ooh, i've been dying to try them. Is it kanzashi or something like that? They'll look great. Good luck with the plant thing, i kill 'em!
SCRAPS....OH...SCRAPS I have so many Little scraps that I am thirsty for little things to do with them!!! I'll be a-waiting to see what you come up with...I bet it will be MAGIC!!!
I love fabric scraps. Have fun at the nursery! K
I love your favourite pick from last week too. Those bunnies are too cute. Hope you get a bargain at the nursery. Cathy x
Look forward to seeing the flowers, the fabric is fab. Good luck with the 'splashing'!
Fabric flora...fabulous.
My brother is a bossy landscape gardening type. I LOVE hanging out at wholesale nurseries with him – enjoy!
Are you making a kanzashi flower? Looking good, love the fabric choice! :)
Oh can't wait to see the result!
WOW! that looks interesting. Can't wait to see the end result. I too loved the Creative Space from dandelion last week, was one of my favourites. I could sit for hours looking at all the interesting and beautiful projects that other bloggers are doing.
you're alway full to the brim with great ideas...look forwar to seeing your finished fabric flora
I love fabric flowers.
good idea! can't waste aunty cookie.
interesting as always. will be excited to see the finished project. perfect timing for some garden goodness i can hear the thunder rolling as i type. fingers crossed for some rain to follow
I love how folding a printed bit of fabric can change the whole look of the print. Have fun splashing your colour about.
Intriguing! At least the fabric version of gardening can be whatever you wish it to be rather than being told what to do by the bossy mate :)
I really like the sound of fabric flora. Can't wait to see it finished.
interesting flowers
also the bunnies from last week were amazing!
I like the look of the custom colouring, looking great.
look forward to seeing what you do with the lovley petals :)
That looks like fun! Fabric folding is something that I've been rather interested in since reading about it a few months ago. My devious plan is to get my sister intrigued by it - she used to do origami A LOT as a kid, but has given up on most crafting for now. Maybe this might be the hook to get her interested again...?
Fun flowers!! Gosh, i always think, this time i'll be in the first 50 to link, alas, no, too slow. You're too popular Kootoyoo. Love Posie
More with the splash of colour? Are you going to embellish the leaves with a bit of stitching? Go on ... you know you wanna ;)
The petals would even make sweet little bunny ears?!?!
Hmmm not sure why that came to mind, it may have something to do with every retailer stocking easter eggs since JANUARY!
Oooo I can see something blooming or jumping very soon. Hope we get a glimpse ;) Thanks for making Thursdays fun Kirsty ... see you next week ;)
thought i'd play along this week, seeing as i am wagging work thought i had better make my creative space a creative one. Have fun plant shopping!!!!
Two different ends of the same stick? Plants that can't die and ones that can? Very interesting. :)
Awesome fabric petals.
Jumping in a little late again. I wonder will I ever catch up? :)
I always love your little sneak previews and this one looks cool. Maybe a how to coming soon???
have fun shopping for plants!
is that drawing on your scraps??
looking very interesting.
Ooooh, intriguing. And very, very pretty!
I'll be stalking to see the final result ;-)
You've piqued my interest again, Kirsty. Can't wait to see how these come out!
Have fun shopping for plants Kirsty.:)
I enjoyed your favorite space from last week! thanks for letting all of us play along here! fun!
You like to tempt us into guessing what you will make. I love flowering indoor plants as well as the green ones. I have been successful at getting reblooming but my Mum looks at them as longer lasting flower arrangements.
The fabric petals look great - you always have such amazing ideas!
Oooh that looks very interesting indeed. Can't wait to see what they become. Thanks so much for your lovely comment.

Everytime I see people play with fabric, I think I need to get my hands on that sometime this year.
Looking great so far! :)
I love the way you put your scraps to good use.....the petals look great!
I thought I might play along this week! Looking forward to checking some other spaces out!!

My first time playing ! Great idea and I see very very creative people.

They already look pretty! I'm looking forward to see the result!
Your creative space is looking very intriguing this week! Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Thanks again for the 'my creative space' collection, I'm enjoying it so much :)
I love the fabric you used for the petals, an unexpected combination as usually those kind of flowers are made with classic pinks etc. Looking forward to the end result!
Mmmm. Nursery. Can I come too?
Good luck at the nursery! Your fabric flowers look interesting, can't wait to see them when they're finished :)
Couldn't make it this week but I just wanted to say thanks for sharing the banana bread recipe....it's been an absolute hit in our house!
Looking forward to seeing the flowers!
Gorgeous petals! Seems like we might be on a similar wavelength this week. Love your choice of fabric!
'Fabric flora' sounds like a tongue twister! Looks very interesting and somewhat complicated? Beyond my meager sewing ability I am sure! Thank you for the opportunity to link up.
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

Well, this is the coolest site e-ver!
I'm playing this game!
I always have a "chair project" and during the bachelor/ette season, it's always a sweater. I usually get to watch it, which is why I watch it, with my daughter and her sorority sisters. When they are at school, obviously it's via text messages: "omg he gave THAT GIRL a rose!" but this season the girls are all studying abroad. I'm watching it anyway and I hate Vienna, but I've added a link above to the Jake sweater...
I like the idea of fabric flowers! Have fun!
SNAP - that was my favourite creative space last week too :) What an epic tale of two bunnies... so glad that there was a happy ending.
Looks like another lovely project. Looking forward to seeing the finished thing.
I liked your all projects. I tried but I could not make it kanzashi flowers. I think my fabric was not appropriate to the project. I will to make try it last again.
