I'm boring myself with all the talk of the old house so lets just say I'm being creative in a whole other kind of way & leave it at that. This other creativity is going to keep me away from you all this week but I'll look forward to catching up with you all after next Tuesday...that's D Day. The photos are being taken then (at 7:30pm...pretentiously called a "Dusk shoot") & after that it's out of my hands & into the hands of the real estate guys.
Visit my favourite space from last week right here.
The kitchen is also my creative space this week but there's no cooking going on. I'm soaking the gas burners in Coke & hoping for the best.
Thanks for playing along & thanks also for popping in to other players to say hello. I like Thursday...it's friendly.

Your banana cake was GORGEOUS by the way, I´m addicted! See you!
Good luck - hope the coke works too!
Gumption is wonderful for gas burners, the Mr swears by it. Happy cleaning, and happy days when the Real Estate agents take over.
Someone told me yesterday that Coke is the best thing for cleaning blackboards too. Who woulda known. Good luck for Tuesday.
Best of luck with the shoot! Hope the creativity pays off!
Good luck for Tuesday Kirsty, the house will look fab with your creative magic touch on it, no worries!
All I can say, is I hope there's a nice chilled glass of something post 'dusk shoot' (still recovering from the term 'dusk shoot'!).
Hope the coke works;)
thinking of you as you come down the "home" stretch...blessings ~elk
It's quite scary how well coke cleans grease and grime... goodness knows what it does to your insides!
prolly the best thing to do with coke!!
oooh, good luck with all the house things. That coke is some deadly stuff!
Eeek, good luck! Be sure not to drink any - for cleaning purposes only, okay?
wow - good luck kirst! Hopefully you get some moments of peace amongst all the crazy. xx
Good luck. I don’t look forward to selling our home later this year; it just feels like such a mammoth task. It must feel good to be close to the end of the journey.
I imagine that the old house will look so superb by the time you finish that you may even be tempted to move back in! Good luck with the rest of the preparations. Have missed you on blogland and in real life, so it will be nice to catch up once all the busy-ness is over.
Coke cleans those? WOW... that's a little scary!! See you on the other side of next week...*waves*
xo Steph

Kerry
love spending thursdays with you when I can!! ;)
Really? Coke? I'm going to have to try that, we have some stubborn, stubborn stains...
With all your hard work Kirst...it will fly off the market x
So this is the time to plan something great for Tuesday night (after 7:30pm) but before the panic of selling sets in. Time to plan something worthy of the "high" you'll get of the end of a huge task.... kind of like the end of of last exam at uni before you panic about finding a job!
Good luck for D-day.
Yaay another creative thurs! I always look forward to seeing what's on everybody's workspace!
Coke!?! You'll have to let us know if it works! Good luck with all of the last minute stuff - I bet you can't wait till it's all done!
Coke hey! It'll maybe even work as it is quite scary stuff! Hope all goes well for you with the photos etc. Cathy
Good luck with the house this week (and with the coke on the gas burners)
Coke! Who woulda thunk it? I hear it works on toilet bowls, too..
Good luck with the house, Kirsty, and thanks again for hosting!
Coke? Really? Might give that a go!
And good luck with the shoot and all that will follow. Can't wait to see how the splashes of colour have turned out!
Your house is going to look so amazing Kirsty - hope you can show us a pic or two from the shoot... Good luck with it all.
Coke huh? Did not know that trick.
x
It's scary how much coke can be used to clean stuff, isn't it? Thanks for the reminder why I don't drink soda anymore.
Hope your shoot goes fabulous. I'm sure everything will look lovely.
Born in 1981 so I like the synchronicity of being the 81st post today. Good luck with the creative cleaning.
wow, goodluck with the house stuff!!
I was cleaning the gas burners the other day..hmm, next time will buy some coke me thinks.
I've been visiting My Creative Space for some time, it's my first time playing along!!^^
Thanks for hosting and please drop by for a visit!!:)
thanks for the banana bread recipe! yummy, it worked with hazelnut instead of almond, that was all i had.
the daisy is adorable too
I was thinking you were marinading something- then realised it was the coke! Mmm, yum!
Good luck Kirsty! I hope it all goes well and that you can have a well-earned relax afterwards. Kx
All the best with the real estate agents. A curious breed indeed.
Thanks again for hosting this, it's friendly, and fun!
hope you get everything done and good luck with the dusk shoot. catch you next week!
goodluck with the house-stuff Kirsty! Hopefully a worry less next week! :)
far out brussel sprout! Look at all those creative spaces on the list! That is so amazing! When I'm at work your blog doesn't load very well cos we have an old sad browser. I usually only get to see a photo and a bit of this and that. Some how Mr Linky worked for me but barely. It was all a guessing game as I couldn't see much!
Good luck with D day Kirsty. I am sure it will go fantastically well. It is your D day afterall!
Good luck with all that, you sound a bit tired :)
Beautiful photograph, even if it's a dirty job!
I made your Banana bread the other day and it was super yummy!
I've been searching for this recipe ever since my weekend breakfasts in a small east end coffee shop in Newcastle, where they served it with ricotta cheese and honey.
I haven't tried anything like it until now. So big Thank you!
My gran also swears by gumption! I can't do coke, whether it's drinking, cleaning or otherwise....
eeek... cleaning for real estates. good luck with it all, especially the shoot. x thanks for hosting
Hope it goes well! And good luck with the coke. xx m
Wow, I think I have posted my space twice/: one from last week and a new one from today... Sorry. So many who play along! great to see! Thanks.
Let us know about the results with the Cola. I'm curious!
Good luck with photoshoot, hope all goes well.
Coke is a fantastic cleaner along with tomato sauce which was used to clean out steam engines.
Coke, huh? I think I'll try that nifty idea on my gas burners! And to think, people actually drink that stuff!!
And I really love your daisy from your last post - all those French knots - wow!!
Sounds like you're really busy... being creative in a kitchen sounds great. Even if it means soaking gas burners in coke ;)
I need to try your coke treatment for cleaning..good luck! Nothing like getting everything all clean and in order!
It's amazing and scary what Coke can do...and to think I do drink it...oh dear. Although, I think Coke here in Italy is a bit different...
I am joining in for the first time. What fun. Love your blog.
This is so fun! I love your blog!
Better late than never ja?
Good luck with all the house sale prep! You sure have a handle on redefining creativity!
Hoping you get a lovely evening for your dusk shots! I wish it were light here at 7.30 pm, roll on Spring!
I was more creative than usual in the kitchen this week - blackberry jam and beetroot salad. Jam a bit runny but beetroot recipe - I am very happy with!
Meant to say before good luck! We have a hideous old electric nightmare stove and it's impossible to get the burnt on bits from around the hotplates off...but I will try your coke idea.
This is such a adorable idea I had to have a go, thanks and good luck with your housey-things.
xdash
I played today :) Thanks for hosting and I hope you have a sweet Thursday!
