My creative space...

Creative tiny crochet

getting back to basics with a bit of crochet.

I am just like this...just visualise the chest as my head. I've been overstuffing for a couple of months & it's all just spilling out all over the place.

I'm using the granny squares & this lovely swap as packeruperers. Then I want to make a new handbag & get on with my doodle/quilling idea & my quilt plan too.

Focus.

I can't even remember last Thursday so no favourite from last week...sorry. I've got my pen ready for this week though!

Do pop in & add your link if you're playing along this week.

Oh ... Yes I totally relate to the overspilling head ATM! LOL. That yarn you are using is a beautiful shade! Good luck with it : )

Hmm, we must be on the same wavelength, Kirsty, because both have crochet in our Creative Spaces this week! ;)

Oh wow, I'm on the same wavelength too! I've never crocheted with the fine yarn before but it's just lovely isn't it? I love your choice of colour. Kx

What a great analogy for the 'overstuffing' of your head! I empathise and ... join you.

Wow - that is a small crochet hook - looks so delicate - lovely shade of blue. Thanks for hosting!

Ok, is it a symptom of being creative??? I too am spilling over with stuffed in ideas and projects and so unfocused! I think we are all in the same boat here.

All your projects sound fab in your creative over stuffed drawes... ooo that sounds so wrong, don't know what's up with me today , I sound like an extra on a carry on film!!
love the colour of your crochet thread:)

Love the colour of your delicate crochet yarn, it's so pretty and tranquil I think. Can't wait to see what you are making this time...

KIrsty, I love how you have the ability to work in such minute detail. Your crochet is exquisite.

Wow, so much going on your head no wonder you can't remember last week. I know the feeling.
ps. if anyone has trouble visiting today, it's because we are having some problems with a certain telco not resolving our server addresses properly. This will most likely affect those whose ISP resembles a "large lagoon". It's not you, or me, it's them.

It's always a shamozzle around here, I think I've just gotten used to it. That's why it's nice to check out some other spaces....nice clear ones for dreaming, nice messy ones for validation!

As always your colour selection is perfect

Oh my gosh, you have the patience of a saint or something like that. Small needle, fine yarn. My head spins. It's lovely.

the lustre of the bluey/grey yarn is lovely.
I've got a different kind of creative space this week, I hope it's still acceptable :)

being pretty new to crochet and the fact that I keep forgetting my glasses makes the thought of teeny tiny crochet hurt my head. Looks good though, great colour.

Damn that's tiny!!!

Last Thursday? What last Thursday? On the upside, if you keep going with the fairy grannies, the eyesight will be so challenged you'll barely notice the exploding head situation. (I'm typing from experience).

PS. You do very nice exploding head.

It can be maddening to have so many ideas and simply not enough time or space for them all! I like the tiny crochet!

Oh Kirsty, I can almost hear the busy-ness in your voice.I guess the overstuffing and trouble focusing are the flip side of having so many wonderful ideas. So now, we just need to find somewhere to buy some more free time!

Have you ever seen those delicate crocheted necklaces by Wren Handmade? You tiny stitches remind of them.

relate to overspilling in every way-emotionally, creatively, etc. You must be very very patient to work on such fine thread and hooks-do please post up your results...

Melanie said...

That is some teeny weeny crocheting going on there and I have it on my list of thing I must learn to do. Love the shiny metal crochet hook. I got a bunch of those in some vintage knitting needles I got from eBay and now I know what they're used for :) Cheers!

Do you think it would be wrong to bribe Kate so that I can be your swap partner - it would wouldn't it, not very nice crafty karma - but I still think perhaps worth it!

After reading all the comments there seems to be a theme of who has been the most scatterbrained this week. There must be something in the air?
Lovely colour in your teeny crochet.
I joined in this week but a bit late. Forgot to add myself after the post and only just realised, oops.
