My creative space...

Creative Space Tin

Still more food.

I had the passionfruit on my muesli this morning & now I'm using the tin for something a bit cute (& food themed).

I'm being good & measuring twice & cutting once. This is part two of the something I began on Monday.

You can visit my favourite space from last week right here.

Don't forget to pop in & add your link if you're playing along this week.

With so many people playing along now, I confess I'm finding it hard to keep up. I think I'll need to do some random number thingy so that the people at the tail end of the list don't keep missing out. Thank you all for playing along & helping to make Thursdays friendly & fun.

So mysterious! The last time I used a fruit tin for something creative was to cut cookies, because my cookie cutters were rusty. Can't wait to see what you do with your tin!

Morning Kristy! Yes you do have a million or so playing now, it's fun but I can see it would be hard to keep up. But wow, what a great day Thursday is thanks to My Creative Space, & you! xo

Hmmmm interesting. Looking forward to seeing what your making!

What a wonderful breakfast! A tin has so many possibilities but I am sure what you will create wouldn't have even entered my mind. You make it so exciting!! BTW I am still on the hunt for massive circular tubes to make shelving like yours. That was the first time I came a cross your blog and I haven't looked back since!! Thanks heaps for inspiring me and my family weekly!!

Very intriguing creative space this week, Kirsty! Oh, and I just had to say--I loved the doily chair and cabinet project from a few days ago--so clever!

I was on a sugar-themed 'post' bender last week :-) thanks for the recipes and your lovely comment!

Vic said...

Oh I'm definately not one to measure twice - more like cut straight away, swear, curse, turf it & cut again... ;)

Chasing Purple Dreams said...

Oooh more keeping us in suspense! I can’t wait to see what it becomes.

Selina said...

mmm, interesting. Love the mystery.

I'm always amazed at what you can make out of an empty tin Kirsty!

MCS is a little crazy busy these days. No wonder you can't keep up. I hope you don't feel like you have to go and visit each and every link as you'd be sitting at the computer all day long.

Megan.K. said...

I, too, wondered how you could possibly keep up with visiting every player... that would be a F/T job.

Can't wait to see what goodness you create with this tin!

june at noon said...

I can't keep up with all the Spacers any more either, although every couple of months I set aside a whole evening to try to get through all of them, just because. :) I try to randomly select different ones each week, but I wish I could visit them all!

Tania said...

There’s a book in there somewhere: ‘Kirsty’s Twenty Kazillion Million Things To Do With an Empty Tin’.

I've been busy hyperventilating over how many MCS players there are each week. Quite enough to play co-ordinator methinks!

Brenda said...

Looks interesting....what can it be?

plushka said...

I used to mix different colour paints in an empty tin at the art classes. It was so much fun to see what the colour will look like...
Cannot wait to see your new project!

Mel said...

My question is, did you eat the passionfruit to get the tin or did you really want the passionfruit and the tin was a bonus at the end? I'm guessing it was the former and the crafter in me loves you for it! Kind of a good version of "suffering for your art"!

Baa-Me Kniits said...

You are making me hungry this week :-)

Kirsten said...

I haven't quite given up the fresh fruit on museli yet...give it a few more weeks till the cooler weather really starts and we only get the staple fruits (all year rounders aren't as interesting to me on museli).
I really enjoy creative spaces, and try to visit a good number over the week. It's great as a blogger/creator to keep yourself "honest" and doing stuff rather than procrastinating about it - which you can do if you don't put it out there to the world.
Thanks Kirsty :)

Morning Kirsty, I really appreciate you running this meme. It (sadly) is the highlight of my week. It gets my butt into gear to do things and show them off. Unfortunately like others I don't get around to everyones posts because I have a crappy satellite connection and two teenagers ('nuf said), but I love the ones that I can access. Pat on the back for everyone. xxNick

hello, i love creative space thursdays - such a neat way of sharing our projects. Look forward to see what you do with the tin- I am saving some to make a tin can phone like we used to play with when we were little :)

Cindy said...

Can't wait to see it...I love that you always follow through with your projects Kirsty. How do you find the time as well as check out everyones creative spaces?
You're amazing.

Gina said...

Hey Kirst. Always tinkering away at something curious aren't you?... I'd forgotten about passionfruit pulp, yum!

Maybe you should just say that you're going to visit the first 50 or something. It's hard, not everyone can post at the same time you do, but nor can you realistically read everyone else's post! I think it's sweet that you bother to try.

Kelly Ingram said...

Hmm, curious..
Can't wait to see what you create here :-)

Violet and Rose said...

I'm collecting tins at the moment too. I need to do a trip to Bunnings to find the stuff that you paint on to make them look all rusty though. Wish me luck. I could be lost in there for weeks.

Hi Kirsty! Can't wait to see what you're up to with the little tin. Passionfruit on muesli? Haven't tried that before but it sounds yum! (And I have a tin in the pantry too!) And that lemon cake looks fab - love a cake recipe with melted butter instead of creamed butter!

Every time a post of yours comes up in my reader I think what will she have created now. I can't believe what a prolific crafter you are, as well as talented and creative. I really admire you Kirsty.

...we'll see later then! :O)
