Such a lot of creating going on in my head lately but not so much with the hands. I'm hoping that this little experiment comes off. I'll be able to justify my crazy crafty happy dancing about it if it does.
The head creating is mainly about all things quilty. I got my copy of Fat Quarterly yesterday & let me tell you that little ezine(actually rather large - a huge 78 pages of goodness) has really got the mind ticking. Have you purchased Fat Quarterly? My favourite project was of course Kate's business shirt quilt. She gets two ticks from me on that one. Firstly because she's ace & secondly because of the reusing bizzo.
The new commenting system worked pretty well I think. I used the random number generator & asked for 60 numbers. It spat them out & I had a lovely time leap frogging around the list.
One of my favourite lily pads from last week was this one. I love her desk.
In the news: It's Cam's birthday today. She's one of the very first creative space players. Have a happy day Cam.
Don't forget to pop in & add your link if you're playing along this week.

Hope the stuff your creating in your head gets to your hands soon :)
Definitely thinking about getting Fat Quarterly... :)
A quilt out of biz shirts sounds really interesting.
OK - now I'm curious as to what you are going to make!
Love the colour of that red. Is it powdered dye? I'm glad it's not just me that does crazy crafty happy dances! Thanks for hosting another creative space. I love Thursdays despite the fact I have a numb bum and coffee shakes at the end of it from all the sitting and browsing the other creative spaces!
Hmm looks interesting. Looking forward to seeing the result of your experiment. I understand the lots of creating inside your head. It's so hard to stop thinking of crafting!
At first I thought that was powdered pigment in you photo, but on closer inspection it’s too grainy. I wonder what it is and what your up to now, whatever it is I am sure it will be a raging success and well worth a happy dance!!!
Ooooh, I have no idea what the red stuff is and I can't wait to find out! :)
Love that red colour...whatever it is. Cheers!
I love the little clues you leave!
Can't wait to see what thats going to turn into!!x
I compleletely loved that little graffitti cartoon desk too last week, it was my fave as well. The little red bits...reminds me of pollen or those lovely photos you see of Indian fabric dyers pigments...I am curious :o)
I have no idea what you are up to but I hope that it works out exactly as you like :-) Thanks for sharing you favourite space of last week, I loved the desk graffiti.
I'm just thrilled that you like my little old business shirt quilt!
Can't wait to see what your ticking turns into x
PS: You are my only one today, scaling back ;)
Hmmm, felting/fuzzy fabric type offcuts... intriguing!!
Even reading and commenting on 60 blogs sounds like an enormous project. Hope you get to do that happy dance soon.
oh this sounds like fun! I pick random each time too. So many to read, that it is impossible lately as there are so many participants!
Mmmm, fuzzy redness! Sounds interesting!
I have so much trouble getting the things in my head out into the hands, mainly because my time management is a tad worse for wear, but having lots of stuff flying about in there can be exhausting! Good luck with getting yours out.
Hello kirsty and a really big thanks for your comment on my wardrobe last week, hope you like this weeks, although it's not my own studio space, photos are taken in Dublin's national college of art and design.
I really had a great two weeks doing this course, it;s so refreshing to do something outside your normal sphere of medium.....your red dye? looks very interesting she says stroking her chin in wonderment
I totally understand creating in the mind... but if only there were more hours in the day so we could actually make more a reality!!!
You continually amaze me with how much you achieve... and then visiting 60 blogs too... wow - how do you do it?
Thanks so much for hosting my creative space - a real highlight of my week.
Thanks for the lovely birthday wishes Kirsty!
I love playing along with my creative space... it's the highlight of my bloggy week.
I never have any doubt you will produce something interesting Kirsty...it's so much fun having so many ideas in your head, but sometimes not so much fun when you can't sleep because of it! Have a great day.
Kirsty I love your experimenting!! It's half the fun of being creative... the other half is a successful experiment... hehe
xo Steph
My mind is boggling trying to think what you are making? Looking forward to seeing what comes out of that creative mind of yours
Wow! What a wonderful idea... so very inspiring. Thanks for the link Kirsty. Kx
p.s. Love the flocking photo too :)
love the Kirsty red, are you going to do some flocking? Intriuging.
Can't wait to see the answer.
is that dye i spy. i know all about the head vs hands deal, my head is in overdrive. getting around to 60 posts is a brilliant effort. i admire your committment
Happy Creative Thursday! I have never seen 'Fat Quarterly'. The business shirt quilt sounds super interesting. xo
Another mystery! Thanks for hosting Kirsty, you do an amazing job.
I've seen a lot of buzz about the zine. I always feel a little chaotic when the ideas are jumbled in the head and I can't quite get them out.
I'm intrigued as always. Thanks for the Fat Quarterly link, I might have to grab a copy...
Sounds fun, I love the ideas-a-brewing stage. Loved that desk from last week too!
I am going to go and have a look at the Fat quarterly right now. I like the idea of the ezine as sometimes things don't turn up here if ordered. But my red square did. Thank you Kirsty!
I thought dye too...then I looked closer and it looks like the stuff that is shed from the bottom of old pieces of "little" furniture (lamps, jewellery boxes etc) - which I'm presuming was felt.
Hmmmmm
What on earth are you up to?
I think you've sold me on Fat Quarterly. I've posted my space today - only my 2nd time. Seems consistency is not my strong point!
Ok, I have NO idea what you are trying to do, but the color is grand!
Thanks for hosting again, Kirsty! You've piqued my curiosity...can't wait to see what you're up to!
Can't wait to see what you are making. I love seeing your intriguing little experiences - though of course, I can never ever guess.
Great colour.
You are the great woman of mystery. Intrigued as always.
what a beautiful red, i so enjoy seeing your creations!
I am curious to see what your little pile of red is supposed to be, and I know what you mean about the creating that happens in your head. I have been doing a lot of that lately myself but am finding it hard to get the time to make it into reality.

What a beautiful shade of red and it looks like velvet. I'm intrigued to see what you are making.
Love the red, and what a great photo. The in-the-head creative space can be maddening if your brain gets too full, at least for me. Looking forward to seeing it in action!
You always have the most interesting pictures for your creative space. I love seeing them each week.
I love that red powder - what is it. I have been thinking quilty thoughts lately too but I am no where near ready to take the leap. Can't wait to see what happens.
i just want to reach out & feel it!!
have fun experimenting.
i have remembered to participate 2 weeks in a row wohoo! hehe
So many creative people, great to play along, thanks!
GOrgeous photo Kirst.
Um I'm having the same problem re head craft versus hand craft. It's driving me nuts feels like my heads about the explode.
ANyway I hope your head craft gets out and becomes handcraft. xo
Crazy crafting happy dances are the best...I'm hoping for some of that in coming weeks. That cake in your previous post is making me damn hungry Kirsty!
The red stuff looks very interesting
I've finally managed to join in.
I wish I could download ezines, but my connection is awful! I will look into it tho'. Going back one posting, I have been making cakes of late and they have been eggy as well. We have our own chooks so it must be the recipes. Hmm. xxNick
Looks intriguing as always - lovely colour. Fat Quarterly looks interesting, will have to get a copy.
Looks intriguing! I'll be back to see what your experiment is all about!

do u get that foggy brain syndrome from creating too much in your head? i do.
Good Luck Creating from what is in your head. I always find that head creating is the most important part. :)
i had to laugh, you need a generator now to help you go through your comments hehehe! but yeah creative thursday is getting so popular now, and it's so inspiring to see everybody's space!
Hi, I'm new here! And loving seeing all the wonderful creative projects people have going. All very inspiring!
oh man I am so glad you figured out a way to visit just a handful (if 60 is a handful!) of creative spacers! I have trouble getting a quarter through the list!
Hoping that the head creating escapes! Enjoy your yummy mag! :)

Hi Kirsty
Just joined in My Creative Space for the first time. I wasn't sure whether to paste in my general blog link or the specific one to the creative space post I did today, so hope it's all ok.
i am doing alot of creating in my mind lately as well, planning and such... crossing fingers it works out for us both ;)
Anything in that colour is divine, gorgeous, deep red, lovely!! Thanks for hosting, i'm about 12 hours later than normal, 'tis that kind of week & wow, over 150 again, love Posie
Looks woollen (is that even the right spelling?) man if I had a dollar for every idea that popped into my head, so I know the feeling. So many idea's, soo little time!!
I have to keep writing the things in my head down so they don't fly, fly away.
Love the color! Can't figure out what will be the result...
I'm playing "My Creative Space" today for the first time, it's great to walk around through the other links!
I'm afraid I couldn't add any photos today but have posted your link on my blog to send people over to visit. So many talented people here.
very cool!
I really must get myself a copy of Fat Quarterly.
