The Big Bite is here!
I've been mucking around with spacing of holes & I'm almost ready to make a start. It won't be today though (I'm working). It won't be tomorrow (I've friends for lunch). It won't be Saturday either (I'm ferrying kids around all day). Pity about life getting in the way really.
Hoping that you're finding time in your life for plenty of makings.
Lovely space from last week right here.
Sorry about the Link man having an afternoon snooze last week. Hopefully he's had his coffee this morning.
Don't forget to pop in & add your link if you're playing along this week.

Dang life, I have been running into the same problem. Sounds like a good week ahead though.
Lifes a bummer like that. House work too. If we didn't have to do all of that stuff, imagine how creative we could be! The lunch with friends could stay though. I could cope with a break in creativity for that! Hope you have a great day today.
I hear you, I have projects sitting teasing me at the moment, too many Uni assignments to finish.
so many lovely things to do, so little time to do them :)
Oh I know those frustrating days when you just can’t get on with the next exciting project. I posted my granny square cardi today, thanks again for the inspiration.
Maybe you will be able to sneak a few moments in like I have been this week. :)
Looking forward to seeing what it is. Thanks for hosting!
it's such a balancing act. can't wait to see what you do with your blanket & punch.
So many errands to do in "real" life... so few time to be creative.
I love the picture you posted :)
Ahh there's always something... Have fun playing when you finally get to it. x
It can be very frustrating when life takes over your creative space. I hope that you manage to get some time over the weekend to finish your project. Love the mulberry crochet granny shrug! It is gorgeous! You will definitely have to make one for yourself and the gray one too. Happy Creating!
Personally I prefer to be a little bit too busy to create my next fantastic item rather than having the time, but nothing to create... that's a bigger bummer for me. hope you can squeeze your day a little and find a few moments to create :)
That hole punch-y thing looks lethal!
I know!
How do we fit all the things in that we are 'meant' to do!? Sometimes little things like the cleaning etc have to be put to the side. (again & again...)!
Very intriguing project!. I love the Mulberry shrug... It looks so nice on you.
I am looking forward to seeing what all those little 'holes' turn into! Hope you manage to squeeze in some craft around that busy busy life!
oooo....I picked up some gorgeous grey wool fabric from the oppy just like yours. I wonder what you will do with that there punch!!
I so often have things working in my mind way before I even get a chance to think about starting them. I think that creative planning process is, if not important, than at least a process we have to get used to happening. Life does keep getting in the way, doesn't it.
I hope you enjoy lunch with friends + ferrying kids around.... and then can find a moment to get to your punching.
Love your macro - as usual.
Ug, work and taxiing kids. Bring on the Bite I say! Oh and gorgeous granny shrug below, you MUST make yourself one Kirst, and in that colour. Grey is so, um, safe!
I'm intrigued, love the shadow in your image showing the light coming through the unseen holes.
Another intriguing project ~ whar fun. I hear ya on the life thing ~ it's pesky that's for sure. Work even more so!
More of that lovely grey. Life is just a river we are head long rushing along at times...hope you get some space soon.
Yep, that life. Always getting in the way.
Thanks for hosting again Kirsty! Oh and I have to apologise I've linked my name twice. (My computer is doing it's own thing this week and buttons are getting double clicked lots!!)
Ditto everyone above that has life in the way... frustrating when it's life like my little one being sick etc but nice when it's lunches out.
Look forward to seeing some more creative spaces this week! Lou.
I often wonder what happens to the idea that has to wait until it gets to be put into reality. Does waiting strengthen it or do other ideas come along that get in the way?
Darn that pesky life!!! Always getting in the way and under ones feet!! Love your hole punch look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Yes, my days are like that at the moment too Kirsty. Hope you find time to do your thang soon ;) I have a week of housework waiting for me today - just how do mums who work full-time do it? I am struggling big time with this work thing. Anyway, moan over - have a great weekend! :) K
Yes, too many other things get in the way of the 'fun things' sometimes. This week however I have managed to squeeze in some creative time so I am a happy chicky.ounma
Looks intriguing Kirsty!
I loved the mulberry shrug from yesterday too... wow!
I can relate to life getting in the way - there's always next week!
Happy weekending.
x
Imagine how much time we would have for creating if it wasn't for life!? Happy Creative Space :)
Big Bite sounds like one impressive gadget. (I hope its nothing like a gadget I own that I have named Big Hole In The Thumb ... that riveting can be so tricky!)
Look forward to seeing what you're making. Hope you can steal a little time here and there.
there really should be about three extra days in the week i think. specific days set aside to do whatever you want
Like the middles of Lifesavers, I always think there has to be some, as yet undiscovered, fabulous, use for hole punchings...
your next few days sound like mine last few. I have 5 days free of "stuff"! Yay! Nothing worse than busy when you have something you are itching to do though huh?
Don't you hate it when the things you HAVE to do get in the way of the things you WANT to do.
Hope you get onto it soon Kirst.
Is that the super-gadget you teased us with a few weeks ago?
I love the look of those little hole punchings.....
I think that too sometimes, that it's a pity life gets in the way when I have things I want to do. ;) It's a shame really.
Hope you manage to squeeze some time in soon. The hole making machine looks ineresting.
Oooh, I'm intrigued by that lovely big machine and those tiny little droppings ... aren't new toys fun!
Can't wait to see what comes of it all :-)
Oh for a whole "life-free" day for crafting! Hope you get some time soon, and that it's completely productive!
Here's to sneaking in a few moments of craftiness in the next few days! Can't wait to see your holey outcome!
Can't play today, but looking forward instead to visiting.
A very touching creative space last week from your link.
You are still one of the most endlessly creative people I know, how you fit it all in so well is a mystery. You will have lots of fun at your lunch though i'm sure.
What ARE you making? Can't wait to find out.
life does get in the way of crafting doesn't it! I'd love to hit the machine right now but have to run out and do the kindy pick up. Might have to drop in at the oppie on the way home though so all's not lost.
I really like this picture... the little balls like crabs make in the sand, that I will forever fascinated with...
That's a start at least... sometimes getting started is the hardest part!!
xo Steph
Don't children and work know that new gadgets have to take a little bit of a priority. Haven't you taught the oldest one how to drive yet - come on!
I find that life tends to interfere with the best laid plans and no matter how many items you cross off your list just as many get re-added to the bottom. I'm curious to see what you are creating though.
Same problem over here, soo many ideas and things so little time. Hope time clears up for you in the future.
But I'm curious what are doing in this pic? I'm very curious xo
I always have such silly little things, like eating lunch or cleaning up toys, to slow me down. Boo! :)
I had to write a list of unfinished projects this morning because I have so many things that are half done that need to be completed by a deadline. Sad how life gets in the way.
that photo looks intriguing-i am trying to work out what you are creating!
It's wonderful to have creative projects to look forward to at least! Enjoy the rest of your week. Cathy x
ooh hope your inspiration and motivation hangs around till you get stuck into those! Enjoy your weekend (busy as it is!)
I need to make a list too, I'm loosing track...
Don't you hate it when life gets in the way of all your good ideas? Thanks for hosting, Kirsty...
Oh the real world just seems to get in the way when you have the best ideas, doesn't it. But I always find it makes me even more excited to get to my projects when the 'real' stuff is finished. Can't wait to see what you are up to.
Sophie x
Can't wait to see all this good stuff in person!
xxxxxxx
Really looking forward to next week!
I'm intrigued.... Can't wait to see more of what you are doing here :)
wondering if you will use the little pieces that are holes too?
yep, the life thing . . . say no more!
{has taken me a few hours to let it wear off today!}
WoW, they look like tiny holes, intruiging! (Is that even the right spelling?)
If only life could revolve around craft, not likely in my house!
bah humbug to life - doesn't it know it shouldn't get in the way of a good crafty session? I wish it did!
Oh that's how I feel too most days - things just keep getting in the way.
My Friday after work has been reserved for Craft Time this week. Can't wait!
Isn't it frustrating when you've finally got everything just right to get into a project, TIME gets in the way!! Hopefully when you do get the chance to get stuck into it, the delay will have made the diving in sweeter.
i know exactly what you mean about life getting in the way! i just wish i had a housework fairy to come and ease the guilt for me!
I agree! I planned out my week perfectly to get as much valuable time used productively, and then DD has a curriculum day tomorrow. Looks like I will take her into the VIC Market for the morning, ahh life does get in the way sometimes doesnt it? Although Market goodies kinda make up for it :D
I can so relate to not finding time to be creative....
Here's to crafting binges when the time appears :-)
sorry I did the old-linky thing again. Hopeless!
Thanks for hosting, Kirsty - this is my first time playing along, and it's great to be able to contribute to the creativity!
over here it's life, yes, time, true and d i s c i p l i n e , i fear. :))). looking forward to see your project happening!
Have been going to bed super late for this very reason. It's like when poppet goes to bed I get a whole other day to sew and craft. Must get some sleep though. Intrigued as to what you're up to :)
This is a great idea!
Just discovered this blog through other blogs I'm reading.
I've done my very first creative space post on my blog today!
Will keep posting every week I hope ;)
Jo
Life (and a really bad cold) completely derailed my creative plans last week. It's good to be back. I think we need a little bit every day to stay centered. Hope you find a little time in your busy schedule for something crafty.
It's horrible when life gets in the way! :)
Hope you have time soon to execute your ever exciting plans, Kirsty! :)
It is always a struggle to balance the real life vs. the creative life...are there ever enough hours in the day to create all that we wish to create?! Even with a 36 hour day, I would never be able to bring to fruition all of the ideas that are swirling around in my head. I do my best though :-)
I am intrigued!
Tired, haggard, busy & a bit grumpy too mind you, but mostly intrigued... ;)
I do most of my creative stuff by candlelight (not literally!) but sometimes I am still going into the wee hours....not a great habit to get into but I figure with my hormones not letting me sleep anyway I may as well be productive :-) PS I was serious about the granny cardi, its the least I can do to say thankyou for being such a wonderful host to MCS xx
Oh, I do love the Big Bite and I'm loving your photograph this week. Creative in itself!
Looking
Yup, life can get in the way plenty of times, I guess as soon as we have time to create we appreciate it even more because of that :)
ooh I KNOW what ya' mean =D life is life
hope you are gonna have a great weekend coming =)
Ha, that sounds familiar. Hope you'll have more time next week.
Also, I really love that photo.
Have fun biting your fabric when you finally get around to it!!
I can't wait to see what it all becomes.
Tina
good luck.. with holes..
i actually got a blast now...
here is my creative space: http://najkulki.blogspot.com/2010/05/my-creative-space-moja-przestrzen.html
Oh, I hope you soon get a chance and have some time for crafting. Nothing more frustrating than wanting to start a project and there are so many boring things to take care of.
I do love that a little inspiration goes a long way!
Oh it looks so promising and intriguing! Hope you get time to get your teeth into it soon xox
PS My sewing machine (which is actually my mum's....) has just broken down so my creative space involves head scratching and stressing this week! Lucy x
I know that feeling very well!
Thanks for adding my link thismorning Kirsty. I had to leave early for work!
I can't wait to see what you're up to with that there hole punch contraption thingamajig.
life does get in the way lol!
Yep, I can relate to that. Its hard to balance time between everyone else but you know what its probably more important to have time for YOU! Thanks for hosting this Kirsty!
hi, ive been sewing this week:: ECHINO!
But life is inspiring too! ;)
Punching holes - intriguing. You know without this weekly space I wouldn't do half the stuff that I somehow manage to do on a Wednesday night. Thanks so much!
I hope you manage a little time to create :)
Mulberry Granny Shrug is beautiful!
Life does get in the way... I plan a whole weekend of creativeness and then remember all the cleaning and ferrying and cooking and gardening and and ... and suddenly it's 4pm on Sunday afternoon and I finally have time ... oops no I don't it's nearly time to get dinner sorted!
BTW Do pop on over to my blog and have a go at the giveaway - I'd love to see you there! It's on until May 31st at http://amoebahandmade.blogspot.com/2010/05/thats-my-pic-just-there-and-my-first.html
Look forward to seeing you and any of your followers there :)
Emma x
Think I got linked up right this time. =)
thanks
First time playing along, love the whole idea of seeing what others are up to ;)
yes, I am finding hard to find time to make things too... having children and passion and a day time work (even part time) is not the easiest thing to do, but doable :)
thanks for doing this
xxx
I know some days are just like time is running out:) have strength and relax...
Hopefully you'll be able to get in a bit of creativity between your busy schedule!
Thanks for hosting Kirsty.
Teehee! Should anything ever interfere with crafting? ;)
Long time enjoyer and first time player! Thanks so much for hosting. I think your shrug is yummy!
a day late.. too much talking all day leads to late night crafting!!
look forward to seeing what the holes are for.
Oh, so unwell & at a Biggest Morning tea, almost forgot to add my link, but i did the post on Wednesday!! One of those weeks, love Posie
I had this post ready for Thursday, but of course everything else got in the way. At least I know I'm not the only one juggling life and creating - at first I thought it was just me being disorganised, but now I know better!
Excited to have found your blog via Baamekniits!!! Will look forward to checking in again soon!
It is a start. It also happens to me. Want to do so many things.
Hello. I have just discovered kootoyoo, my creative space and have enjoyed browsing all your creative spaces!! I know it is very late now but I thought I would add mine too. I will be back to see what is happening next Thursday!!

i like the way you said.."pity about life getting in the way" I so get that and have to remind myself often that life getting in the way is actually OK. Just surrender to it and enjoy it.
So many exciting projects! It is so inspiring to read what others are doing!
