My creative space…
Still more with the hook.
A request from my sister in law & a bit of inspiration from a vintage afghan book around at Auntie Pat’s & I’m off again.
I’m using op shop/thrifted yarn. It’s not gorgeously soft but by gosh it’s “mothproofed” – it must be good (not mother as I originally read it – thanks Tammy).
Check out the vintage price!
Look who was making something “vintage” last week. It made me think of my next doors from when I was growing up.
Don’t forget to pop in & add your link if you’re playing along this week.

I would love to know what they meant by "motherproofed"!!! It's so cool to see the old prices – I'm using needles at the moment from a packet of about 50 which cost 20p! x

Dont you hate when the price of brilliance is that everyone wants some! I am not surprised the family is placing orders. I am happy to be adopted by anyoe in order to get some. Can't wait to see where this one goes!

You know I was just thinking as I made the School lunch that Mother proofed wool could be Very handy and wondering if it would just repel only ones own mother.

Is it me and my awful connection, but I can't find Mclinky on your page. Anyhoo, I am trying to crochet, and have got as far as a couple of metres of chain stitch, but I am afraid I suffer from a crochet malady.

Aside from the mother/moth dyslexia issue… Why is wool mothproofed anyway ? Is it an Australian thing ?
Then again I suffer really bad reactions from insect bites so maybe 'gnat proofed' or 'midge proofed' wool would be a medical breakthrough.. Rambling now..
