My creative space...

cloud

Yes ... it's true! I'm knitting a cloud.

The anny blatt angora lambswool blend is quite incredible. I'm not a knitter at all but when I do pick up the sticks by knitting is ridiculously tight. Not with though, she won't tolerate it. Stubborn as I am the yarn refuses to be forced which is quite relaxing actually. It's marshmallow soft & just as light.

Hoping that I don't botch the lot with phase 2.

Look who got up to a bit of boy meets girl craft last week.

Don't forget to pop in & add your link if you're playing along this week.

Looks like a cloud indeed..And incredibly soft...I am a tight knitter too, and have been teaching myself to relax a bit on my recent project...

Too cute! It really is like a cloud isn't it! Sounds like you had a lovely crafty time - I am always amazed at the multi-talents of Auntie Cookie too, even if she does play down her skills all of the time!

Oh it looks super soft and snuggly.

Good morning. Thanks for hosting again. And as a non-knitter, I'm always impressed by your ideas - and that anny blatt looks spectacular. Wonder what you're making...

Wow, it doesn't even look like knitting, it's so fluffy and soft. Fur like, almost? Gorgeous!

Hi Kirsty, have you tried the 'interchangeable needles'? I'm not a knitter but looking to get started. Don't know whether to go 'traditional' or 'mod' as it were!

michelle said...

it looks delicious. i used to be a very tight knitter and i can control it now by resting the right hand needle in the crook of my thumb with the yarn fed around my forefinger. takes a bit of getting used to but works for me

Brenda said...

Looks like a beautiful cloud! I'm a tight knitter too so all my knitting projects are small, if I use bigger needles than suggested it usually works out.

Have a lovely day.

Bellgirl said...

I could happily curl up and go to sleep on that cloud!

Knicky Knacks said...

It's like bum fluff - but sooooo, soooo much prettier! I love it. Must be a dream to handle. Can't wait to see the final reveal.

That looks so gorgeous. I don't think you need to make anything with it. You could just leave it lying around the house just like that.

And another tight knitter here - I can't even imagine what I'd do to yarn like that ;-)

Maybe this exercise will help to loosen your tension although I think it is an internal thing. My mum's spinning was always super tight and my youngests crochet is so loose it is almost floppy. Cherrie
