Wonking it up

Wonking it up.  I’m usually not good at wonk with hand work.  My stitches usually end up even despite my best wonky efforts.

I’ve found the key to the wonk & thought you might enjoy being let in on the secret. 

Hold your work at arm’s length.

Lovely, lovely space (I’ve fallen quite in love – can you tell) right here.

    Hand work – the bane of my existence! One day I am going to hand piece a quilt, but I may have to wait until I'm old and mad and keep forgetting how bad I am at it ….

    I love the hand stitched look. This looks like a great way to add some detail. I find hand stitching quite relaxing actually – although it's obviously quite time consuming!

    Oh yes, not being neat & accurate must be difficult as your hand stitching is always so refined & even. I'm not so good with the 'organic' craft either, i like symetry, thus being a quilter. Love Posie

    thank you for the tips on the broomstick a few posts ago. i tried it out. works well. must use bigger knitting needle or stick though; my loops are a little too small to my likings.
