The last pretty girly thing…
for a while.
I’m so ridiculously excited about the coming of spring that I’ve fashioned myself this shrug/wrap thingy from a small crochet table cloth.
Yes, another 5 minutes flat bit of fakery that makes me look much cleverer than I really am. Hooray for that I say.
The clasp is a vintage avon daisy…you know the kind…with perfume in the centre.

Oh, wow. Now, listen, I don't think you can truly call that fakery, because it still took some skill to make it look the way it does. I have a feeling if I draped a tablecloth over myself in an attempt to fashion it into a like item, it would not be nearly as lovely and more likely look more like a sack with armholes!

I had been dreaming for months an Avon gingerbread pin with perfume in the middle that I'd seen in a catalog It was my birthday, Dec 19th and I was sick in bed. I had forgotten all about that special gift I was longing for and then it happened- I was opening presents in bed and there it was. i will never forget it. the worst and best birthday ever!
