My creative space…

I’m hooking up a stormy sea.

It’s a big huge giant leap for me…I had to put three colours/shades together! You may or may not have noticed that I am generally a one colour girl (or one & white/cream & that really doesn’t count). Some people are great with colour & pattern, they splash it about with gay abandon & ALWAYS get it just right. That ain’t me…interesting isn’t it?

Just a giant mess of chains & ends that I’m hoping will be a little something lovely.

Do pop in & add your link if you’re playing along this week.

So interested to see what those little pieces become. I'm not very adventurous with colour, the most colourful thing I made recently was my nana rug, which I love but that's probably it for multiple colours from me…

You know, I struggle to work with a limited colour palette (that's probably stating the obvious). I've tried a few times to paint with a really limited range of colours and it never works out. I think it's a real skill to work with a small range.

It's definitely interesting the way different people create. I love it.

It's funny, I'm drawn to colour combinations, but ones that are already put together for me. I've tried and tried to replicate the way colours are put together in Japanese design, but whenever I do it, they just look wrong.

I'm the same way with patterns, which is why I think I'll never really be able to quilt.

By the way, I love your new bit about comments, especially the PS. I was just thinking that very thought this morning!
