What a lovely “welcome back” I received. Thank you all for your keen support.

The big girl has some vile gastric thing. She’s small & thin & really can’t afford a couple of days off the tooth. I’m crossing everything that the rest of us don’t fall like flies.

The mattress has been dragged downstairs, off the carpet & in front of the Teev.  It’s just the way things roll in our house.  You get sick & you move to the family room…a hangover from when I was a kid.  I think a mattress on the floor is much more comfy than the sweaty brown vinyl couch I enjoyed as a kid.

Buddy sleeps on his own dog bed…always.  BUT a comfy bed on the floor was simply too much for him to resist & I thought he looked so gorgeous so I left him.

Hoping she’s back to her normal self quick sticks as she has quite a lovely crafty plan.

Welcome back! So lovely to find you here this morning. Sorry to hear about the biggest.
Our maremma dog Willow had 6 puppies on Christmas and the first boy born is called Buddy. Although they are the most snuggliest, gorgeous pups ever, we aren't allowed to bring them inside or cuddle them too much or their mama growls at us.
    Happy Summer holidays.

Ha! Very cute! Glad I'm not the only one who believes in the TV as a healing device – I thinks its distracting qualities rock. Fingers crossed she's better soon.

What a sweet tradition for when you're feeling ill. I think it's important to have particular rituals for these sorts of things. We just need to tread that fine line that ensures our youngsters don't decide to get 'sick' too often!

Cute puppy and a great shot. x

Great idea to take the mattress into the family room. If we hadn't had a big comfy couch, ia would have done the same for my kids.
Weclome back, we all need a 'quiet time' sometimes.

Sorry to hear that there is a nasty bug in your house, hope you all don't get it. Your pooch is gorgeous, I would have left him there too. Animals are so healing!

Buddy is protecting her, gorgeous. Or is he just being selfish and making the most of the opportuniy? Either way, very cute.

We seem to have taken on that whole moving mattress thing. Last night I was in the lounge room with the 3yo with the vile stomach bug all night, his mattress off his bed with the waterproof liner and mine: 2x 4wd mats that we have just been sleeping on while camping last week. Quite a comfy night for both of us if a little disturbed by tummy grumbles. Hope your young one has recovered and regained some energy.
