An experiment…

I was gifted a couple of coffee sacks by my local.

Just mucking around really & seeing what works. I figured out on the run this morning that crochet was the way to go as it will eliminate the need for exact measurements & I’ll avoid having to drag my long length of thread through the hession.

Anyway, so far so good. I’m always going to be happy with red & red on the natural is quite gorgeous methinks.

Thank you all for your positive feedback about grownup kootoyoo. It’s much appreciated.

I thought I’d give you all the link to gravatar though so I don’t have a whole lot of “mystery man” commenters (I like to know who you are). Gravatar is an image that follows you from site to site appearing beside your name when you do things like comment or post on a blog. So this is ace not just for kootoyoo but other non blogger or typepad blogs.

I do love me a bit of natural and red too. Which reminds me, I need to make some more half hand towels for the kids bathroom too. You know the crochet edge and button loop type to swing through the door handle. lol. True granny style of course! Have a lovely day at your place.

Lucky acquistion, Kirst. I love the raw appeal of coffee sacks. These would look fabulous as cushion covers with crochet borders.

Thanks for the gravatar link! I’m tired of being a mystery woman on wordpress sites! x

Those colours really are amazing together, and I love the texture of the red as well. The detail and smoothness of it against the roughness of the sack is just perfect. Looking forward to the whole thing!

What sort of yarn is that? It looks so lovely and smooth next to the fibers of the hessian.
