blueberries

It’s rare that new things make their way into the everyday at my place. I’m into sameness.

In an effort to drop the Christmas KGs (& also in support of the recently lactose & fructose free Date) I’ve dumped the nougat daily treats. They’ve been replaced by blueberries straight from the freezer.

Just so tasty.

Now if only I could find a substitute to my comforting drop of vino?

Yum. I agree with Naja too, frozen grapes are great, as are frozen strawberries.

Pity about the fructose content of grapes, because they are yummy frozen. Blueberries are pretty fabulous though – and yours look pretty too!

(Good luck with the fructose/lactose free cooking. They’re tricky ones.)

You had nougat daily? What a good idea! Oh, scrap that, what a BAD idea. Good on you for moving to blueberries, although I hope you’re growing your own as they are soooooo expensive right now!! Good luck with it all. x

Frozen blueberries are delicious! Why are so many people being diagnosed with lactose/fructose intolerance? I hadn’t really heard about it two years ago but now several of my friends are on the FODMAP diet. At least we’ve discovered that it is actually possible to eat tasty food even if you need a list of what you can eat rather than what you can’t! I hope it works out ok.

Well that seems a bit cold for our end of winter weather, but I bet it is a great treat for the days of summer! I have frozen blueberries on my yoghurt and granola in the am, but wait till those berries are thawed to eat it.

THe joys of fructose intolerance. I know them well. Dear and lovable husband is fructose, gluten and somewhat lactose intolerant. Kind of got used to it now though.
