Lawn chair…

March 4, 2011 43 Comments by Kirsty

lawn chair

…the Rummage household is home to a number of these chairs.  They are scattered around the garden & they make the place feel relaxed.

…there’s a building in South Melbourne with a living wall that I absolutely LOVE…I guess I could site that as my inspiration.

…my Grandparents would probably have had a pair of these in the boot of the car to take to the polo. They did have lawn chairs like these which were also on the mind “mood board” along with the book “The Plant Sitter”.

All this nonsense has combined to make my Lawn Chair.

I picked a chair up recently & had a plan to hook a flashy new “canvas” for it. But really this is just so much better than I ever could have hoped for.

I’ve already purchased another chair (& a sunbed too) so that I can give them the same treatment.

I will pretend that I was lucky enough to pick them up at the Sunday Trash & Treasure for $5 a chair!

Other lawny type furniture…

Super cool (& super exxy) here
Sensational DIY sod sofa here.

    *gasp*

I didn’t think I would ever be saying this…especially after the coffee sack foot stools.

    BUT…

    You have outdone yourself.

To fantastic to put into words

I love this! So much fun. I love the link to the grass couch. I wonder how you would cut that grass . . . by hand with clippers I would think. Haha.

brilliant, and a much safer option than the sod sofa which could lead to a very soggy bottom

This is total WOW-NESS, Kirsty! I’ve seen an astro-turf sunbed in London that someone had placed next to a shower on their terrace for summer sprinkles (obviously no water restrictions there!) Have fun making – can’t wait to see the finished result :) Kx

*giggle* very cute. There is a fellow that sells gardening tools in our main shopping centre and he has a vest made out of that stuff. My little ones crack up laughing everytime they see him.
