My creative space…

April 7, 2011 50 Comments by Kirsty

First things first…

My creative space will be taking a break for the school holidays so I’ll see you back here on 28 April.

& on to the making…

I had planned to save all the talk about covered coat hangers until next week but truthfully there has been nothing else in the space for 3 days. I’m completely obsessed. All I want to do is sit and cover hangers. Hours & hours have been invested in this kind of ridiculous activity but it’s giving me such a thrill.

Do pop in & add your link if you’re playing along this week.

Liking the look of those supplies for a bit of a hanger makeover. Have been doing a bit of hanger thinking myself – it’s a good craft challenge!

I’ve got quite a few covered hangers…some old, some new. But I’ve never made any myself…might be time :)

My ‘best’ clothes go on my covered hangers – mostly thanks to my grandmothers!

I can’t wait to see how you transform your hangers. I find myself thinking about them now since I read your challenge! I think I need to add a bit of craftiness to my own naked hangers, but I’m not sure where to start yet.

Wire coathangers certainly are unattractive and in dire need of change! Can anyone explain to me how they breed in my cupboard without me watching and always insist on getting tangled up with each other?

    Have fun on the holidays!

Popped over to my Gran’s yesterday & was excited to see she was doing some crafty coat-hanger refashions over her own – too bad there was lace involved… and the covering of lovely old wooden hangers.

I’m thinking that freshly made covered hangers are so much nicer than some of the seedy second hand ones I have seen in my life.

oh i love how you get totally entrenched in which ever craft you are doing! I’m like that too – if i love it, i’ll do it day after day after day and neglect all others, until i find another something and then get hooked on that! Enjoy xx

I don’t think I can commit to 7 but will have a go at transforming one coathanger. But it sounds like it could be addictive.
