Return on investment…

I’m not so sure about the time investment with this little quilt. I’ve spent around 40 hours on it…ridiculous really for something that’s entirely useless.

I based it loosely on the idea of the patchwork paving & used a mathomat to create the squares and rectangles.

I had planned to make something similar for our bed. That plan is now resting beside the pile of brown granny squares on the “too hard” shelf.

The mini is a wee bit late but my partner should have it early next week.

Thanks Kate for organising the swap. You can see further mini quilts made for the swap right here.

Happy weekend folks.

Another idea you thought ‘ yeah 20 minutes?’ and it dragged on?
Looks pretty ace though, better sit on someone’s mantle.

You know me too well. Prolly should have ditched it at the 20 minute mark. x

That is truly divine … and it looks like it took every one of those 40 hours, a stitching job like that is hard work. Love it :D

Useless indeed! Art more like. It’s beautiful; and the frame you’ve got (made, I assume) is such a fabulous idea too… storing that one away for later.

Dear Kirsty, what can i say? I am totally speechless! Blown away really that someone would make me something so beautiful and put so much time and effort and thought into it. Words cant describe it really. I am really in love with this little doll quilt and cant believe its mine! What an amazing quilt, i can totally appreciate the forty plus hours gone into this gorgeous creation, each tiny stitch. I feel so undeserving and cant believe you did all this for me! Thankyou so much, i LOVE it!
