Decorating for the medically minded…

the powder room

This is our powder room.  It’s the smallest room in the house & amazingly just about the only one with any wall space.

I’ve had the first aid idea brewing for so long but for some reason just haven’t got around to doing anything about it.

All the bits and pieces have been collected from thrifted first aid kits. I saved them all for about 12 months and now I’ve assembled them in IKEA box frames. This would have to be my number one decorating tip for lazy cleaners (me). You get the lovely look of a jumbled collection without the dusting headache.

The “call Andrea” thing is a bit of a running gag with a mate of mine (ex nurse). I’m going to print these up as A4 prints & get all our friends to hang them in their bathrooms too.

Clever, and I’m with you on the no dusting bit. When I started redoing our house, one of my main goals was less exposed stuff to collect dust!

Thanks Susie. I had hoped to use the magnets to swap between prince & princess but I never got around to it.

This is so clever Kirsty. Please come north and style my house one day? I have had things in boxes for about 10 years just waiting for you!
Your friend Andrea sounds like she’s got a great sense of humour.

p.s LOVE the hills hoist vase and LOVE the camera light from recent posts.
p.p.s What paper were you in, can we read it online?

It looks really good. Is the frame on the top right full of cd pled toilet paper?

No it’s a gauze bandage but I guess the loo paper would work too. ;)
