It’s from Canon & it’s to say thanks so much for making me the winner of the “Eye Land” round in the Canon Island competition.

Canon have passed on the IXUS as a iveawaygay to you guys! Just leave a comment on the post & one of you will be the proud new owner of this rather teeny but packed with features click! Most excellent I say…thanks for sticking around & supporting me through this whole hoo ha. I really appreciate it!

On my last trip away my fabulous old Canon got grains of sand inside. It’s not worth repairing because it would cost more than buying new…but I don’t have enough money to buy new either! I’d love to win a camera although I don’t know how I could be that lucky!

I LOVE your photo! A well-deserved win! I lived and worked on Map 45 for a few years..so did my husband, but we didn’t meet until I moved to WA..! Love the eye shot too, and good luck for the next round!

Well done on the win, such a great, simple effective idea.
If i were to win, I would give this nifty little camera as a gift to the one kid in our house who does not have him own camera. I just love the way kids take pictures of the world.

I love the Melways cut-out, and little story that went with it. I’m a map 59 girl myself – still living within a few kms of where I grew up (and where my mother, grandmother and grandfather grew up for that matter).

I do wish the Canon Ixus would decide to be mine and replace my current worn out camera which is being kept together with sticky tape. If so, I promise to learn how to use the white balance…

<3 the Melways picture. I love that a Melways is always available. Not as convenient as a GPS, when you are driving, but it doesn't need batteries, and so far, I haven't had my Melways stolen from my car…

Massive CONGRATULATIONS!! Such awesome news!
And thanks to Canon for the amazing giveaway… I’ve had 2 Ixus’ now (had to buy a new one after I lost my first one overseas – silly me!) and they have been fantastic cameras – sturdy, easy to use, and most importantly, they take great pics!
