Late again…
thought a lot about magic
& the folk who make it real
spent time with a master
& felt what can’t be seen
had a hand to get to the heart
& find my voice too
saved some more coins
& made plans to spend them
set up the last book shot
& waited for the light to play fair
tied up some loose ends at school
& sorted supplies
got on a plane
& spent the weekend with Kate
arrived with a case yielding glass
& left laden with treasure
drank too much of the sweet stuff
& was reminded that hearts are trumps
