And the world stopped turning…
…I wish.
I just want to sit on the sofa and hook for the next however many days it takes to finish of the house warming gift I have started making for … myself!
I had this grand plan involving super chunky yarn and a 15mm hook. I thought it would be speedy quick but it’s not working up as fast as I’d like. In true Koo style I wanted it yesterday.
Despite having to be up at 4am this morning I sat up until midnight with hook in hand. The blanket has grown to the point that it’s now warming my lap as I work. Is there anything better than that, I ask you?
I have completely blown the budget on this project. I think I might as well have decided to make the thing from spun gold! You can read all about that here (& see more creative spaces too).

It’s scary how much it costs to make a blanket from scratch! Loving the grey and can’t wait to see what it looks like. Kx

I reckon I could raise your budget blow-out on a certain ripple blanket. On the upside, it is much used and loved. On the downside, the ends are still not woven in. YIKES!

The winter is the best time for crocheting. Hope the cold helps keep your fingers nimble! Cherrie

Well, if you had to buy the same quality product it would cost three times as much and wouldn’t have all love and care attached to it. xx

It’s so addictive, isn’t it? I didn’t want to leave for work this morning because I wanted to finish a row of my tea cosy. And when I came home, my crochet was the first thing I picked up.
Crocheting a blanket while it’s big enough to warm you sounds delightful. I expect if I were doing that, my cats would be fighting over who got to sit on the blanket to test it out..
