I’m sick of gluey fingers and gross newspaper print everywhere too.

It’s lucky we are on the home stretch with this project. Although the enthusiasm has dampened a little since this morning I’m still chalking this paper mache moon-to-be as one of my favourite projects of 2012. I’ve loved helping the little guy out with this project but am certainly looking forward to moving on to something a bit more up my own crafting alley.

I really want to finish the heirloom this week…will you hold me to it? Shall we make it a promise for next My Creative Space day? Ah – a deadline. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I do my best work under pressure.

I haven’t paper machied since my schooldays. I wonder if I could convince my nephews to have a go?

Yep, deadlines are absolutely essential ;) I love the look of paper maché… maybe it’s the torn edges and layers, but whatever, it’s really cool I think :) Kx

Agreed Kylie – it’s absolutely the torn edges.

I shall have to pull out the Easter Bonnet Shaz made me one year…

A paper mache egg hat that she painted white and stuck a teenie tiny yellow chick on.

    It was laying its egg….apparently.

My mum made me one in Prep. I won the Easter Bonnet Parade (in the days when you were allowed to win). It was a rabbit.

Same! I’m all for deadlines! Look forward to seeing the heirloom next week! That said… you seem to achieve a terrific lot anyway!

And from your earlier post, Isn’t it so touching when your kids appreciate you? And you always know that a kid compliment is genuine too!

You have just reminded me of a project I was determined to do before the end of 2012! Well…actually before the end of 2011 …and 2010. But you have renewed my enthusiasm to do it again. It is great you are helping your child with this project.
