wrapped lampshade | #mycreativespace

I’m not sure about this one at all.

I began enthusiastically, wrapped a few rounds and then stepped back. The thing looked absolutely ghastly! I’ve persevered and now it’s done I kind of like it from a distance and the smalls think it looks great. I’m yet to be convinced. I need to sit with it a couple of days I think.

I don’t have enough of the spool knitted cord to cover the other arm of the lamp so if I do decide I can live with it I’ve no idea what to do with it’s twin. I guess I could scour the Op Shop for more beastly yarn but really…would you?

I dunno…thoughts on this one most welcome.

And another thing…

I spent some time with lovely Lamina a couple of weeks ago. Check that out here.

See what the other creative spacers have been up to right here.

Another hilarious perspective from the Cookster!

It looks ACE but you know me with my match-matchy….the naked twin would be winding me up.

    Pfft. EYE ROLL.

    ‘Course it blooming WORKS!

I reckon you just have to crochet the other one a cardigan. Match-matchy, only not.

Yarnbombing your own house was simply a matter of time.

Hello Sweetpea! Still lurking about – with an eight mile long catch-up blog post rattling about in the brain somewhere. Surely you can fit another quick trip down south for a cuppa soon? (grin). xx

You’re onto something there. Probably too lazy to hook it myself but I do have a little something something that might work for a sibling rather than a twin. xx

Well I LOVE it and I’m not just saying that.
You know what I think you are having a bit of Post Lamp making depression.
You know i get this everytime I make a bear, in my case Post Bear Making Depression , the day i finish it I HATE it and think it’s the worst thing.
And then in a couple of days time, I’m much more pleased with it.
EVERYTIME!! and the ones I’m the most unsure/depressed about end up being my favourites.
So give it time, I always have too!

I like it, if not just for the nostalgia. It kinda reminds me of a carpet I had in my room as a kid. I think it’s a keeper ;)

It looks really cool. But I also would have to cover the other one. I think the smalls are right. You might have some knitting nancy activity on your hands!

My $0.02 – I think it looks great. But… if you don’t like it I’m absolutely positive you could on sell it and make your money back (plus some) and then you could buy another lamp and let the fun begin again…
